Shipping Origin
All items are shipped from Japan by Tosai Art Tokyo.
Shipping Methods
We ship internationally using reliable carriers such as EMS, DHL, FedEx, or other comparable shipping services depending on the destination, item type, package size, and available service.
All shipments are packed carefully with consideration for the nature of Japanese art, antiques, prints, hanging scrolls, and related items.
Processing Time
Orders are usually processed within 3 to 5 business days after payment is confirmed.
Please note that processing may take longer during weekends, Japanese national holidays, periods of high order volume, or when additional packing care is required for fragile or high-value items.
Estimated Delivery Time
Estimated delivery times vary depending on the destination country or region, shipping carrier, customs processing, and local delivery conditions.
International delivery usually takes approximately 5 to 14 business days after shipment, but delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Tracking Information
Once your order has been shipped, we will provide tracking information when available.
Please note that tracking updates may take some time to appear after the package has been handed over to the carrier.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges, if applicable, will be shown at checkout or included in the item price, depending on the product and shipping settings.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, shipping charges do not include import duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, customs clearance fees, disbursement fees, or similar charges.
Customs Duties, Import Taxes, and VAT
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, disbursement fees, customs clearance fees, or similar charges upon arrival in the destination country or region.
These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost unless expressly stated at checkout.
All such charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Tosai Art Tokyo is not responsible for these charges and cannot control or estimate the final amount charged by customs authorities or shipping carriers.
Please check with your local customs office or carrier before purchasing if you have questions about possible import charges.
Customs Clearance and Import Restrictions
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the item can be lawfully imported into the destination country or region.
We are not responsible for delays, additional charges, customs holds, refusal of entry, seizure, or return of a shipment caused by customs procedures, import restrictions, unpaid import charges, or failure to provide required information to the carrier or customs authorities.
Incorrect or Incomplete Shipping Address
Please make sure that your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order.
We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or returned packages caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, refusal of delivery, failure to claim the package, or failure to pay import charges, the customer may be responsible for the original shipping cost, return shipping cost, and any related fees incurred.
Lost or Delayed Packages
Delivery times are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, weather, natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, or other events outside our control.
If your package appears to be significantly delayed or lost, please contact us at store@tosai-art.com. We will assist with checking the shipment status with the carrier where possible.
Damaged Packages or Items
Please inspect your order promptly upon arrival.
If your item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible at store@tosai-art.com with photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label. These photos may be required for carrier investigation or insurance claims.
Please keep the item and all original packaging materials until the issue has been reviewed.
Returns
Returns are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. Please do not send any item back without contacting us first.
